ORA-01031 insufficient privileges

Hey Everyone,

Wondering is someone can help as my DBA is out today and we have a critical issue. The scenario is this: I have two users on two Differnect computers accessing the same oracle database on a HP-UX 64 bit Oracle 9i server from the same application with the identical tnslistener.ora's and ODBC's. They use the same Database user to access the database through the ODBC only one of the users gets ORA-01031 insufficient privileges when trying to modify the database and the other doesn't. Any ideas on what might be the problem?

Just a gusess: one is connected as SYSDBA?

I finally found the problem. The application had a problem with the newer oracle ODBC drivers. Used an older driver and we were all set.
