Hi
I am quite new to Oracle and have recently encountered this intermittent problem. It is now happening about twice a week and the rest of the time functions properly.
Errors in file D:\oracle\admin\ernie\bdump\ernieCKPT.TRC:
ORA-00206: error in writing (block 3, # blocks 1) of controlfile
ORA-00202: controlfile: 'D:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ERNIE\CONTROL03.CTL'
ORA-27072: skgfdisp: I/O error
OSD-04008: WriteFile() failure, unable to write to file
O/S-Error: (OS 33) The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file.
Thu Apr 19 03:39:43 2007
CKPT: terminating instance due to error 221
Instance terminated by CKPT, pid = 1020
I have a scheduled orastop at 02:55 to allow the backup to kick in so technically Oracle shouldn't be up at the time of the error.
Can anyone shed any light on this please.
Many thanks
puma
