ORA-00020 exception maximum no of processes excceds

While Running multiple webservers On my database on windows

NT Server, there comes the exception

ORA-00020 -- Maximum No of processes (59) exceeds

I have to run my Multilple Web Server from other machine

Is there any way that I can increase No. of Processes Running or any way by which the above exception should Not Encounter.

I am Using Oracle 8i on NT

I will be very very thankful if I get proper Solution as this is of utmost importance for me

did you check the no of processes in init.ora file. Try to increase the number and check again.

Remember that any changes you make to that file won't take effect until you bring down the database and then restart it.

Ever notice that by the time that you realize that you ran a truncate script on the wrong instance, it is too late to stop it?

It really worked.
I here saw that maximum no of processes can be excceded upto
300. Isn't there anything by which I can extend it to whatever no. I want. Because I am surely going to need more
no. of processes running than 300 in near future only
