Hello,
My company is currently in the process of purchasing a CS1000. We have a building that is about 1-3 miles from our main facility. The CS1000 will be at the main facility. At the second location we have 2 phones and a modem. We are being quoted an Off-Premises extension line card for the CS1000. We would hook this up to an OPX correct? Are there any other solutions to getting communications to the other building? Basically my question is....What are my options for getting communications to my second location that has 2 phones and a modem? They don't need voice mail or anything. They just need to be able to use the phone. What is the best solution for this?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks alot,
Paul

best? is a diffucult question. for 3 analog sets, any solution except ops is very costly. if i had ip to that building anyway i would voip digital sets. btw voice mail would not be any problem with ops

If you can get dry (OPX) lines to the other location, OPX lines should work fine and they could have Vmail off the main switch.

ace is right, just make sure if you get a dry pair (no treatment or extenders) that it is a direct pair, not 4 miles back to the central office, and then 6 back to the remote. a dry pair 2 miles would not be a problem. much more then that and you may need some form of loop extenders.
