Optivity 1.2 connection problems

I am running Optivity OTM 1.2 with a Meridian 1 Option 81c. I am having problems connecting to retrieve station information from the switch. I can do a Syncronize/Retrieve/Parse Only and the log window comes up and everything runs fine. But if I do any other Retrieve function, the Log window pops up and it slowly prints 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 across the bottom od the window and then closes ... Any ideas/suggestions about what might be causing this?
