We have a customer that needs the voicemails pulled from their BCM400 3.7 system, and saved as .wavs prior to changing out their system.

Is there any way to copy and convert the files from the BCM hard drive ? I think the voicemails are saved in voice cti/filepool, but I haven't been successful in converting them. I could have the wrong files.

As an alternative, we could try and source out a Unified Messaging keycode and do it that way.

Any thoughts would be appreciated !

The customers BCM 400 at 3.7 was based on the old Windows NT operating system.

It might be possible as a last resort to attache the hard disk via IDE to USB cable to another computer in order to look and extract the message files.

You might even be able to log in via telent (assuming that you have enabled it first) and navigating to where they are stored to copy them via FTP onto another server whilst the BCM is still in use.

I might be able to help you out with the Unified Messaging keycode if you still need one via the link below.

Hi Firebird,

I actually do have telnet access already and can see all the drives (c thru g)

Do you happen to know what drive/folder the voicemail messages are stored ? I think it is d:\Nortel Networks\Voice CTI\FilePool, but I can't confirm. The files there I am not able to "play"

Sorry Flatt's, but I don't have any customers using V3.x anymore.

Let me know if you still require assistance with your UM problem off line?
