I have some OLD type optional units DBY41001/1 R2A(production date: 02W07), and OLD type digital telephones DBC20301/01001 R2D(production date:96W49). They should be compatible.... But,when you connect optional unit to telephone and press C*1 nothing happens.....

ALEX documentation says:
DBY41001/1 R2A are OK for DBC203, DBC202
DBY41002/1 R1A,R2A,R3A,R4A are OK for DBC213,DBC212

Does anyone have any idea?

You do not need c*1, functions will be activated by cutting or not cutting one strap (extra bell or busy singal)

OK LALRL, you are right! It is working!

By the way, I found a compatibility list:
***********************************************************
DBC202,DBC203 => DBY 41001/1 R2A

DBC210 01 R6C or higher => only DBY 41002/1 R5A
DBC211 01 R6C or higher => only DBY 41002/1 R5A
DBC212 01 R7C or higher => only DBY 41002/1 R5A
DBC213 01 R9C or higher => only DBY 41002/1 R5A
DBC214 01 R5C or higher => only DBY 41002/1 R5A

-DBY 41002/1 R5A is backward compatible with older DBC21x telephones.
-DBY 41002/1 R4A works only with DBC21x telephones with revisions lower than those in the above table.
**********************************************************
Also, I have one DBY 41002/1 R3A. It works with DBC213 01 R4A and DBC212 01 R3A.

Thanks LALRL!
Best regards
Radoje
