We recently acquired a Legend system with MLX10D phones. We have a small company without a dedicated receptionist, so we all take turns answering the phone. What we would like is to have a button on the phone that we can hit when it is our turn to cover the phones, but that we can also turn off so as not to be disrupted when it is not our turn.

I have set up a simple primary coverage, but it is always on, so what I am looking for is an easy way for the user to turn it on and off.

Thanks!

create a hunt group and make it auto-logout, add the people into it as members and then add es2 keys on the phones, point your lines to the group and if no one answers the phone it will log them out and go to the next, set the overflow to the vm hunt group and make the auto attendant pick up when it rolls in.

just a thought?

Or you could create a single attendant console and fwd the calls to the answer point as it changes.
