Option Strict setting - new projects vs. existing projects

(Sorry if this has already been answered - I tried searching for this but couldn't exactly find this situation.)

Environment: VS 2005 / VB 2005

It appears that the "Option Strict" setting takes effect only when the project is initially created - if you change its setting later on an existing project, it does not appear to work.

1. Please confirm the above.

2. Is there some special way to change this setting for an existing project?

No, you can set it any time just add the line at the very beginning of your code and build.

Option Strict [ON : OFF]
