Option for purchased part or manufacture in house

Greetings,
I have a question, and I hope it can be understood!
We have a part that we would like the option to have it made for us, or for us to make in house. They would have different part numbers to follow our CAD file structure. Is there a way to make this work in the BOM? Would it be with the options? If so then we would have inventory of two different part numbers, of the same part??

Any Ideas?

MAS does not care if you buy an item or make an item. You could set it up in BOM and do a production entry or you could create a purchase order and then do a receipt of goods. Makes no difference to MAS.
