Hello,
We are using VOIP for our inbound and outbound calls. The issue we are experiencing is that if a call is received inbound from outside and then forwarded by our system to an outside number via VOIP, the “History” information being passed to the carrier exceeds 2,000 characters. The carrier is telling us that we need to suppress/remove characters that our PBX is passing with the call so their carrier PBX will not reject the call. The carrier said that their PBX automatically rejects calls with a “history” that exceeds 2,000 characters. Does anyone know what I can do to reduce the number of characters being passed to the carrier? Is an SBC (Session Border Controller) the only solution?
Thank you,
Olympus41
