Hi all,

We are migrating to another telco Carrier. The new Carrier hands-off an NI-2 PRI off a Cisco ISR 2911 with VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1 cards. We currently have dual PRIs from ATT off a DS3 cabinet - non-NFAS so each PRI has its own DCH.

We tried to connect the new PRI hand-off from the Cisco box to the PBX and the PRI interface on the Option 81 will go MBSY and not fully synch up (ld 60, stat shows alarm stays red). However, on the Cisco side, the PRI port goes green and ISDN status shows established.

Of course, calls will not terminate because the Option 81 side is MBSY.

Any suggestions on what may be causing the issue? Fixes?

Many thanks!

You very well may have to flip the transmit and receive pairs, pins 1/2 and 4/5

Thank you! I think you're onto something... I connected the Cisco to the Option 81's CSU/DSU shelf using an ISDN cross-over cable (as you are suggesting) but I did not use a straight through cable. I'm going to try a straight through and let you know.

Check ovl 73
REQ aaa Request (aaa = CHG, END, NEW, OUT, or PRT)
TYPE PRI2 Type of data block = PRI2
FEAT LPTI Feature = LPTI (Loop timer)
LOOP loop Loop number for PRI2
MFF aaa Multiframe Format (aaa = (AFF) or CRC)

Its have to be crc

as standard CRC is on for cisco, where as its off as a newly built circuit on the meridian. after changing it remember to down the card fully & re-start.

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder
