Option 61c - Paging code to play recording? 1

I have an nortel option 61c running callpilot

Is there anyway to setup a feature code that when dialed it plays a recording over the overhead paging?

Also my current paging code is 888 how can I change it?

Change the code in LD16 in the Route Data Block

Go to Kohls or any department store and listen - most of the overhead pages are canned. They do that with the paging equipment. The PBX is just the path to the amplifier.

I am wanting to be able to play different messages on overhead paging just from dialing a code at the phone. Is there no way to transfer the page trunk to the callpilot and play a recording?

Well, it is possible, but the Page trunk will need to be TYPE WAT or TYPE COT rather than TYPE PAG (you can transfer or conference TYPE PAG if I remember right).

Imagine this: You call the Page route, then you No Hold Conference dial an Announcement in Call Pilot. I don't think you can streamline that process, which is rather cumbersome. It is the best way I can think of.

No Hold Conference is KEY x NHC

NHC is the best way I can think of to bridge the two things together.
