The calling party ID from the Telco sometime works from certian locations. I assume it is with the central office, however, is there something in the PBX that can compensate for the this?

If telco doesn't send the caller ID info - there is nothing the switch can do to display digits. With no caller ID info the switch will display the ACOD of the incoming route and a name for that ACOD if assigned.

Is this what you were asking for?

Normally I would accept the problem is from central office. But we have another 61 in the same central office area without this problem. The ACOD does show on the display and indicates the pri route. Telco has tested and tested, we have tested and tested. Telco sees no problem and we see nothing except the phone did not show the CPID (sometimes. I assume there is a supervision bit missing with answer supervision is initiated to receive the CPID. If an ESS office does not see it -no CPID. If the local DMS does not see it - the PBX apparently (not for sure) re-sends the frame. (I hate "sometimes" problems)

Not to state the obvious, but are the calls without CPN calling from sites that don't have CPN (such as a 'plain' T1 at a business) ?

You have probbly already done this - if you turn on Dchannel messages - the call setup will show the calling number - if blank - telco didn't send. If there is a number there may be something on the switch to do - let us know
