Hi,

Whenever we unplug a 2616 phone and after a time period which I don't know exactly , the Option 61 disables the port . When I plug the phone again , it does not work. Is there a way to keep the port up even if the phone is unplugged ?

thanks,

The system is working the way it's supposed to, the system see's the unplugged phone as phone thats having a problem. Why are you unplugging the 2616? are you trying to make it do something. Tell us what you are trying to do and we may be able to help. If you plug the phone back in it should start working again as long as it is plugged backin before the Mid Nite routines you just have to run your fingers down the keys a few times and it should start working again.

The ports are used in a lab where the phones are unplugged frequently. I am trying to avoid having to enable the port each time it gets disabled. Sometimes a port might be unplugged for a few days if there is no need for it.

Thats your problem leaving them unplugged after the MIDS

Prt the CFN in LD 22 then make the changes below

LD 17
REQ CHG
TYPE OVLY
BKGD X45 you can X this one to
DROL X30 but this is the one that disables after MID

BUT YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THAT IF YOU TAKE LD 30 OUT OF THE MID YOUR CLOCK CONTROLLERS DON'T SWITCH OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

TRY CHANGING CLS FLXD TO FLXA FOR THE PHONES YOU WANT TO STAY UP AT MIDNITE OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS
