Option 11C - Setting up a TN from scratch

Hi everyone. First post here.

I saved a Option 11C from a factory demolition a few months ago. The thing is I'm a programmer and don't have any experience working with PBXs, so bear with me.
I reset the switch to factory default and configured the CDB. then I saw that there were no loops listed in ld 22, prt, cequ. Since I have 6 cards installed, and the card I want to program is in slot 4 (it's an analog NT4K02PC card) I added a new superloop in ld 97, chg, supl, N004. Now this one shows up as a phantom loop in ld 22. Also I have licenses for 40 Analog phones and plenty of TNs.

However when I program a 500 analog set on loop 4 it still doesn't enable my analog card in slot 4. Enabling it in ld 32, enlc 4 gives me an NPR665 since it is a phantom loop.

Did I miss something or did I something wrong?

This is a pretty steep learning curve for me, I try to research as much as I can on my own. However I've been stuck on this for a few weeks by now and really need some inputs.
Thanks for any replies!

Best Regards
Roman

Hello Roman

It would have been easier to have kept the old programming. As you have defaulted the system, you might want to follow the attached guide that is old, but should help you.

What release of software is the system?. Do a TID, ISS and SLT in LD 22.

Thanks for your reply and for the guide!

The system is running release 7.50
I defaulted the system because I didn't get any credentials with it (I just dismantled everything what was available on site). With it came an installation USB stick for rls. 7.50 and old configuration backups and one keycode file (which I re-used during the factory reset procedure), so I believe not everything is lost there.

in ld 22, SLT returns

Hello Roman

That explains why you had to build a new superloop. The Option 11c systems used a SSC card as a processor but this changed when the CPPM card came out. Finally the CPMG was used which you have. The attached guide is old, but you need to refer to page 4 to create a virtual loop rather than a phantom loop.

I read the guides now tried setting up an virtual loop instead of a phantom one, however I can't program a 500 set on it since it always delivers a SCH5511.
May it be that virtual loops are only compatible with IP phones?

Also do you have additional documentation regarding loops and superloops (e.g. what types of loops serve what kind of purpose, how to set them up correctly) since I can't seem to find any information on that online or in the docs (maybe I also just missed it since the docs are huge)?

Thanks for your time!
