Option 11C mini - Buzzing while on hold

Hi All,

Recently there is an option 11C mini installed and when a call is put on hold, there is a very bad buzzing??

There is also Call Pilot 4 port and and a Miran card 2 port,

Anyone ever experienced this?

buzzing from the phone? or from the cab?.. the cab would almost have to be a bad power supply...

can't help with that one, background music is not an option and moh is not sent to the holding station. let us know what you find

I'm not sure what you mean by buzzing, but did you check to see if audible reminder of held calls was enabled on the phone?

ARHA - allowed

Thanks, not it is not that. The buzzing is in the Handset, a really anoying like screething noise.

Not real familiar with the 11C mini, but I assume it has a conf card....did you try replacing it?

if the person who is on hold is hearing the noise it is probably just a bad music on hold source. such as a raido off station

is it buzzing both internally and externally?

put a test set on the MOH TN and see if you get the buzzing.

pull the jumpers from the MOH TN and see if the buzzing is still there.

try moving the port on the XUT card.

turn off/remove music ran from route/acd group, and see if the buzzing is still there.

c'mon guys, we need to give him some ideas to check.

look in the CDB for music on hold route in FTR data.
prt the MOH route in ld 21
dial the ACOD from your maint phone and see if you get the same noise, if not that will rule out the moh source.

Also, is this on all phones or just the one? that will also rule out some things.
