Option 11C Hyperterminal F5 key not working 1

Iam using Hyperterminal Ver 690170 to connect to switch but when using mail 13 the F5 key will not work,should i be using some other software when connecting Mail ?

Hyperterminal can't handle Mail. Try TeraTerm from:

http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002416/teraterm.html

It's freeware and gives you the correct terminal emulation for Mail.

The default keys for Mail are F6-F10

open a Hyperterminal session
go to file select properties then select settings
in emulation drop down menu select VT100

Try entering or programming F5 with ^[OM

Program the F5 key with ^[21~ and it will work use a VT100 or VT102 TERMINAL TYPE..

to use the F5 key i use the Enter key on the number pad ...
