Option 11C 4.5 upgrade to 5.5

I am going to be upgrading a 5 cabinet Option 11C (with 2 IP cabinets) from 4.5 to rls 5.5. I have yet to do a 5.5 upgrade but have done other releases. Do I also need to upgrade the SSC's in the IP cabinets also? All cabinets with SSC cards are at 4.50. I will have more questions, I will also be upgrading the CallPilot 201i 4.0 to CallPilot 202 rls 5.5? All help is appreciated...

If you have any IP phones, or Virtual trunks in the system then you will be replacing the SSC cards in the system with MGC cards.

If you do not have any VoIP in your system, then you can upgrade the software on the SSC cards, and you will need to upgrade the software on all of the SSC cards in the system.
