Does anyone know of a method of testing station TN's (analog and digital) through software to see if there is a physical telephone set pluged in.

How about...

LD 30
.untt xx xx (whatever the TN is)

You will either get and OK which means that the switch sees a phone set on that TN or a Nortel error message that it does not.

This LD has been a big help to me.
 

Doesn't STAT on the TN report UNEQ vs. BUSY/IDLE if there is no phone there, digital or analog?
