Ok , here is what i got:

Our Option 11 is rejecting calls from my switch switch over a TIE line. Sending switch is an intecom, (shouldn't matter) I'm sending 10 digits out over the TIE line and i don't know how to check the option11 to see why the call is getting a fast busy. Does anyone know which load is used to incoming call handling?

Any ideas would be much appriciated. :)

I would check in LD87 for LSC/DSC/TSC for the leading digits you are sending, or maybe an NPA or something & check the FLEN. If it's fixed at say 8 digits & you try & send a digit string that's longer than the FLEN, the M1 will drop the call. Your options would be to change the FLEN length to 10, if all calls are going to be of that length or 0 if the digit strings are variable.
Alternatively, you could change OVLL to yes on the d-ch, FLEN 0 on the DSC/NPA & OVLL to 1 on the RLB.

can you have the Intecom switch just send 4 or 5 digits to match your exts

If you send 2065551234 the opt 11 will try to match 2065 and probably not find a match returninig overflow tone

Right now we using 5 digit dialing to that officeand it works great. What we also want to be able to do is call a business in that city without having to route the call over the pstn, instead, utilize our tie line and save $$. So i would dial the number 9+1+(10 digit) and the M1 would route the all accrodingly. But the switch doesn't know what to do with the digit string i am sending it and drops the call. Your feedback is was very helpful, but i am kind of uncertain what to look for.

Thanks

OK, so you are trying to send different digit lengths over a tie. You will need to tell us what is the tie, ie is it analogue ddi, is it a dti or primary rate, does it have a
d channel

PRI connecting our Intecom to an Option11. Able to route 5 digit over, but unable to send 10. I'm going to try and send a different string and see what happens, i know i still have to check the M1 so i'm reading about LD 87.

Thanks for your help so far wdhb.

Update: I am sending 9+1+(xxx-xxx-xxxx) to the option 11 over a PRI. I can see them leave my Intecom and they are hitting the first channel on my loop in the Option11. All i get is a nonstop ringing? It's like the Option11 doesn't know what to do with it. Anyone know how to make the option11 direct the call?

WHEN YOU DIAL THE 5 DIGITS DO YOU USE A ACCESS CODE B4 THE 5 DIGITS

check the programming of your tie trunks on the opt11.remember that the trunks act like phones when being used as a dial thru---so the ncos and tgar has to be able to dial out.

Thanks for your reply kirkster83, could you give me an example of which ld cmd to use or what to look for?, i'm pretty green with nortel equip as you can tell.

Since it is PRI - You can enable the Dchannel messages to see what is happening - you may need to re insert the 9, or the trunks might not have the right NCOS to send the call back out. Also on the Option 11 you can do a trace on the trunk while it is ringing

I suspect the call was rejected and Intercepting to a console which you don't have.
