I'm working with an Option 11, using 2008 and 2616 phones. I have one phone in the office that for some reason is not forwarding calls to our voice mail system. When I checked the setup, this one phone was not set with a HUNT extension. What LD # do I go to so that I can change the configuration on this DN? THANKS!!

on digital sets ld 11.
REQ: CHG
TYPE:2008 OR 2616
TN:
ECHG: YES
ITEM: CLS HTA
ITEM : HUNT XXXX ( NUMBER FOR HUNTING)

OK. Either those steps didn't work or the TN that I have for that extension is incorrect. Is there a way to print our the TN's so that I can compare?

ld 20
req=prt
type=tnb
tn= x x x x
(cr) till print outputs

It was the correct Tn #, so maybe I made a mistake. I'm down to entering HUNT 2000, then I press ENTER. Is there something that I have to do to finalize or just type in the **** and exit that way?

did you change CLS=HTA? you have to do that in order for hunt to be assigned

I've gone through and turned HUNT off by CLS=HTD and I'm able to enter through the prompt and save the change. But when I go back to try and turn HUNT on by CLS=HTA and then enter HUNT=2000, I can't get through. Only getting the SCH0349 error.

Do you have enabled Call waiting in the set ?

According to the error code book, "HTA is not allowed unless hunting is defined. ACTION: HNT DN and EHT DN must be defined for HTA/CFTA"

Any suggestions for this?

if i remember my course..

you must define HUNT first then HTA

ld 11
req=chg
type=2616
tn = x x x x
echg= yes
item = HUNT xxxx
item CLS HTA
req = end

try that

Colin

Sounds like CFTA is set in CLS. CFTA/CFTD stands for Call Forward By Call Type. If CFTA is set, you enable the PBX to differentiate between two types of incoming callers: internal and external. Internal callers are controlled by HUNT and external callers by EHT (External hunt). SCH0349 is telling you that not all hunt features are programmed therefore cannot allow you to return to the REQ prompt. When you did CLS = HTD, the system allowed you to hit enter all the way through but not chen CLS = HTA. One more thing, with CLS = CFTA, you also get internal and external treatment for Call Forward No Answer (CFNA). The prompts for CFNA (CLS = FNA) are FDN (internal) and EFD (external).

That being said, when CLS = CFTA & HTA, you MUST program EHT as well as HUNT. When CLS = CFTD & HTA, you only need HUNT. If you want internal and external callers treated the same way, program CFTD in the CLS.

CFTA/CFTD is programmed on a set by set basis.
