I've got an option 11 and believe me when i say my experience is limited int his regard. I'm trying to figure out what phones are capable of calling where (external, long dis., 911, ect.) i believe in my system this is defined by TGAR and NCOS, but how do i check to see what the numbers for these two settings mean. e.x. my tgar is 1 and my ncos is 8 and i can call anywhere except international.

Please help.

targ/tgar 1 normal. ncos 8 high.
ld 90
prt NPA, SPN, NXX

just prt a few npa/nxx, prt all of the spn
look at the RLI.

NPA should be sort of common, NXX as well.
SPN, being toll-free, international, 911, 411 etc may vary in RLI

prt rli in ld 86
it will show route and FRL on the entries.

FRL = how much it cost.

NCOS = how much money you have.

Ncos by it's self doesn't mean anything as it could be programmed as an FRL 0

PRT the NCOS in LD 87 to see what each NCOS = what FRL

RLI tell you what FRL you need to use that route

This website may give you a little insight in to NARS/BARS programming

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

well now it's all clear as mud. i've got a lot of output and not a lot of understanding of what i'm looking at. ah to have some formal training. from what I can gather on these outputs, NPA is the areacode, (in my system 1+areacode), and NXX is the prefix? which means SPN must be special nubmers (911, toll free). Hope i've got that right.

here are my findings
All RLI's are set to FRL=0
FRL on Ncos are as follows
ncos4=2FRL
ncos5=2FRL
ncos6=3FRL
ncos7=3frl
ncos8=5frl
ncos9=5frl
ncos10=6frl
ncos11=6frl
ncos12=7frl
ncos13=1frl
ncos14=4frl

RLI=1 on all NPA's
RLI=2 on all NXX except
483=1
782=1
894=1

RLI = 2 on SPN 1700,1800,1877,911
RLI = 1 on SPN 011,1866,1888

what does all this mean.

From what you posted if it is true, then any phone can call anywhere as you said all rli are FRL 0. FRL 0 is the lowest FRL and even the lowest phone would have at least a NCOS/FRL of o.

So please scan and post the RLI's so I can verify if what you said it in face true.
