I am wondering how to check the host block size? The manual mention that the Super DLTtape drives supports block sizes up to 16MB. The default may be set to 512 byte block size that results in poor performance.
1. How do I check the block size?
2. How do I change the block size for better performance?

Thank you for your input...

What backup method are you using? Most allow you to specify the blocksize as part of the command.

I don't mind people who aren't what they seem. I just wish they'd make their mind up.

We are using 2 different kinds of Tape drives.
1. SDLT 320
2. DLT 8000

The command is. . . ufsdump 0uf Server1:dev/rmt/0cn /dev/vx/rdsk/backup
