Optimize for Vertical Search (it.com)

Does anyone know how it.com determines their results? I would like my companies information to show up higher in their results.

I noticed that on certain days our results are above our competitors, but then on other days my competitors results are higher then ours. We get a good deal of traffic from this site when our results are high, so I was wondering if anyone know what we could do.

Following that link tells me to get higher CTR you can click your link and/or Optimize the text better so that users want to click it more often.

Sounds similar to Adwords.
