I have a 2 sites A & B linked together with a bandwidth of 9.6KBPS. The apps being accessed are available on site B with Citrix Metaframe 1.8 on winnt terminal server 4.

Is it possible to optimise application access for at least 3 users to the applications off B from A over this link and if so how ?

thank you

Athar

Wow. I won't ever say it is impossible, because I can get a single metaframe session to operate over a 9600bps connection (it doesn't run fast or even well, but it does work).

HOWEVER, the book does say that an ICA connection requires roughly 20k for a single connection. If you are using RDP, you may doubel that number to 40kbps. Again, this is for a single connection.

My experience has found that if you have 25-35k for an ICA connection, your users will complain much less.

Good luck!
