Have Dell desktop, 2 years old. Sonic burning software. Drive does not recognize blank cd and requests either put blank cd in or cd is full. Tried different brands and different speeds. It will copy cds but does not burn.
- What do you mean by "copy but not burn"? Copy as in "to the hard drive"?
- Have you tried cleaning the drive? A couple blasts of compressed air into the drive usually does it.
- You said you tried different speeds, but how can you even adjust the speed if it's not recognizing the blank CD?
