Hello TekTips Users, I'm new to the forum, and I wish I could start posting a helpful tip, but as you can imagine by reading the subject I had a problem :(

I have this problem, I formatted my hard disk drive using Windows98SE and did a clean install of it, installed the latest driver set for the video card, installed the 2 ports USB OPTI 82C861 adapter, the latest Webcam3 drivers, plugged in the camera and the system detected it like an unknown device, after that I deleted that entry in the device manager, plugged in the camera again, looked for the camera driver and the system manager showed it right in the Image Devices section.

The problem begin when I start NetMeeting, I play "My Video" and the system detect it again as an unknown USB device, without giving me the possibility of seeing something in the video screen.

Then, I tried the same method in a Windows XP system, when I start the Creative Webcam Control, it gives me just 1 second of live video, then, it freezes only the image, the program doesn't crash, which is very strange for me since I can open all the options in the program.

I really don't know if this is a problem with the Creative driver combined with the OPTI adapter, because I have another PC with an onboard USB adapter (Soyo VBA133) and it works like a charm!

Please Tektip Users Help Me!!!

Sorry for my bad english...
