Opt 11 with 2008 phones

I have a Opt 11 and bought 4 2008 zk phones with Displays to replace some old phones. Is there a reason why the displays wouldn't come up? Is it programming? If I put a 2008 2k or 9k phone in that port the displays work, put a ZK style phone and it doesn't. Any help appreciated.

The older ZK model 2008 set requires an external transformer to power the display.

And make sure you use a 6-wire line cord since the power is delivered on those outside pairs.
