I need some digital ports in my Opt 11 for my Octel 250. When I listed my unused digital units it printed every TN in slot 10 (10-0 thru 10-15). I thought it only printed unused units on a slot where at least one of the TNs was already being used. None of these are used, and they're all showing up. Does that mean they are in fact available? If I don't have mermail then I can use slot 10 for anything, right? thank you.

When you prt the tn on card 10 what is it showing? Have you tried to out them. I am assuming there is no card in slot 10. Yes you can use "10" for any thing except maybe a T1.

see below please. what does this mean? that there's no card in that slot or that no TN's on that card are programmed?

Specified loop has no valid TN.

That's right. Put a digital card in the slot and go to work.

great. Now i gotta buy a card! okay, thanks.

can I put a T1 card in slot 10? It's an option 11. Or does it have to go in a specific slot?

Actually I meant a clock controller card. Can I put a clock controller card in slot 10?

Slot 10 is built by default for Mer Mail, you can put in another card as long as you out what is there and rebuild it to what you need. No the clock card is a daughter board that rides on the T1 card.

IN A OPT 11 THE CLOCK CONTROLLER CARD IS A PIGGY BACK CARD THAT PLUGS ONTO THE FIRST T1 THAT YOU PUT IN THE SYSTEM
