I'm having a bit of a problem. Over the summer our building went under major renovation and our Musak system was moved to a different location. I need to patch the Musak system back into our Meridian but don't know what TN to punch it down to. I've tried following things read in other posts about Music on Hold but have had no luck.
Here's some things from my Meridian 1 Opt. 11
under ld 20 -> prt -> type MUS and enter for the rest of the prompts i get
TN 002 0 00 06
TYPE MUS
CUST 0
XTRK XUT
TIMP 600
BIMP 600
RTMB 3 1
CFLP 29
DATE NO DATE

under ld 21 i find

TYPE TLS
TKTP MUS
ROUT 3
DES
TN 002 0 00 06 MBER 1

and a lookup on route 3 yields

TYPE RDB
CUST 00

the odd thing about all of this is if I look at TN 2 6 it is on my univ. trnk. card and connected to one of my external phone lines and not the musak system.

If anyone could give me any insight as to what is going on here it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

the punch on will be card 2 the black orange pair (12) each port on a trunk card uses 2 pair, starting with port 0.. you'll just need the single pair from your source..

I have the single pair for my source and know where tn 2 6 is. But i already have something punched down on tn 2 6. It is on of our external phone lines and not the music source

the port is built for mus input, TN 002 0 00 06, that trunk is not working. the jumper needs to be on a tn from your ltm list for your cot's or did's

i just unhooked the trunk line from 2 6 and attached my music source to 2 6. when i pick up a phone and dial the acod of 800 to get music i hear nothing, where before i used to hear something.

I just want to say thanks to everyone for helping me out. I ended up discovering the problem. Whoever installed our system labeled the trunk lines the same as my anlg. and dig. lines using 0 - 16 on a 25 pair 110 block. i started looking into the config of the rest of my trunk lines and noticed that they were using ever other ie 2 0, 2 2, 2 4, 2 6, 2 8, 2 10. but in the rdb lists they were show using 2 0, 2 1, 2 2, 2 3, 2 4, 2 5. When i finally put 2 and 2 together i relized that the so called 2 6 was actually labeled as 2 12 on my blocks and 2 12 had nothing punched down. I now have music on hold back and working. Thanks again to everyone for helping me out.

do you have a toner set? if you do, use the amplifier probe near the muzak cable pair, you should hear music, if not you are punching down the wrong pair or you are not getting any signal from the receiver.

congrats, works everytime
