Release 4 currently has a major problem in regards to SX2000's and backing them up. The problem is not service affecting, but can be devastating in the event of a system crash. Nor is it a problem with 3300’s.
When the system performs a backup on a 2K, it copies the current backup folder \data save\sitename\ to \datasave\sitename_backup\ including it’s contents. And then creates a new folder \data save\sitename\.
Regardless of the data save completion or not, the contents of the backup folder is supposed to be moved to the newly created folder. This doesn’t happen. The software deletes the folder and any previous data saves are GONE!
I am upgrading the site to EMAN rel5 with OPSMAN rel8 to see if this corrects the problem. I will post an update.
I have an open ticket with Mitel support on this, and haven't gotten a resolution yet.
