OPoS Service Object

I have a new piece of hardware - a scanner - that I need to create an SO/driver for, using C++/C#, but I cannot find details anywhere about the format of these objects - expected methods, type of object etc.

I have pulled off the OPoS common controls, so this gives a few hints about interfeces that need to be exposed, but is there a sample SO anywhere to give me a quick start ?
 
The site below lets you download "OPOS 1.6 (1.1MB)" which contains two documents "010715-OPOS-APG-(Rel-1.6).doc" and "010715-OPOS-CPG-(Rel-1.6).doc" that describe the creation of a Service Object. The zip file also has C++ Header Files to get you started.
