We have an application that was designed in-house using Visual Basic with an Access DB using ActiveX controls. On the same server I am running AccPac accounting software, wich uses the Pervasive SQL engine. Both Apps were running fine except the Access DB was getting corrupted repeatedly. We found a solution that invloved disabling Opportunistic Locking in the registry. The DB hasn't crashed since, but the apps don't want to play nice anymore. When I have users in both programs, they both slow down to a snail's pace. The only way to fix it is to get everybody out and back in, which clears it up for a while.

Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this without re-enabling OpLocks and compromising my DB?

Environment: MF 1.8 for MS 2000 Server
The apps are running on another 2000 server in the domain.

Thanks in advance,
Tina

Are the MetaFrame servers on the same subnet as the database/application servers? It would help if they were.

Try running Filemon (out of hours!) to see if you can spot where bottlenecks are occurring.

Is there anything in the event logs which may give clues?

Thanks CitrixEngineer.
I was also having some Network problems involving Domain Controllers. Once I got that straightened out, I went ahead and re-enabled OpLocks and held my breath. It seems that the problem might have been with the DCs not playing nicely with each other. (knocking wood)

As always, I appreciate your response!
