Hi,

Hopefully someone can give me some good comparisons, either links to reviews or personal experience.

We are looking into getting a Firewall Appliance for our office. We are a small business, in the 25-75 person range, and our Internet connection is a 1.5Mbps T1 through a Cisco 1720 router.

Right now we only use the connection for E-mail (hosted at our ISP for now), and web access. In the future, we plan on the ability for remote users, or more like AS/400 to AS/400 communication, to send or receive electronic patient billing records.

Security is, of course, a main concern, what with new regulations on the health insurance / health care industries.

To the meat of the question: We are looking at the following -

1. Symantec's Velociraptor 500 -- only downfall we see is the price and the limit of 50 users (after 50 the firewall shuts down).

2. Cisco PIX 515R -- provided through our ISP as a reseller.

3. 3Com Superstack 3 firewall -- Just started reading on this and don't know much about it, other than the cost!

4. Open to suggestions, as long as it's a pre-packaged, configured firewall.

As a background, we just plan to have Internet, E-mail, one or two FTP clients and that's about it. I plan on having a DMZ with a web proxy and eventually our won mail server.

Any help on what would make the better choice for now and for the future is greatly appreciated!
