Hello,

i would like to use a 4424LD+ as my QCC operator position. I have moved the programming port from the lst position to the 2nd position so that I can use a different 4424LD+ for programming. But when I plug in the programming phone the QCC phone loses its connection with the system. What is causing this

Thanks for your help

are you punch down correctly at the punch block, and not split pairs

is your QCC still in logic id #01, and your staion in #02 set as your programing port

What happens when you plug in say 4406 or 4412 to #02

the smae thing happens when ever I plug anything into this port the programming phone will lose its display

May I ask if you are using an 'adapter' on your module or is it a standard 25-pair cable brought out to a punch down block/patch panel?

does any 4400 set at that location, you should at least have dialtone check your jack or patch panel may be labeled wrong

If you are using a patch panel that you are referencing with the link you supplied, the problem is with your patch panel. In short, you are putting multiple extensions (two to three depending on the panel you have) on each jack. if you are going to use a pre-terminated patch panel, it would have to be a twenty four port, single pair for each jack. Chances are you will not experience a problem as long as you use a single pair mounting cord in the jack (though you will be wasting alot of extensions) but as soon as u plug in a 4-conductor or larger cord, you will fudge up the other stations residing on that jack.

the patch panel that I am using has a single pair at each jack and I am using a single pair cord to plug in to the phones with. It seems to work with the operator on the first jack and then the programming jack on the 4th position. If I plug a phone into the 2nd jack the display on the operator phones goes out and if I plug a phone into the 3rd position the programming console goes out. at this point I think I cna deal with losing the two extensions
