We have an Avaya switch with AVST voice mail when the operator is not there they want internal calls to "0" to go to the auto attendant (call processor in AVST lingo) just like they do for external calls to the LDN. The problem is if you are calling from an extension that has a voice mail box and you press "0" you get "please enter your security code". An attempt to solve this problem in the past created more problems so we switched it back the way it was. Are there any problem free solutions to this?
Thanks

Can you setup the attendant to use attendant vectoring? That should allow you a lot more control about where a call goes if there are no staffed attendants.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

Try this... in the vector step that routes to vmail enter the trunk access code and the voicemail number as defined in your voicemail hunt group. Which is on Page 2 of the voicemail hunt group.

Example Vector step:
route-to number (enter trunk access code and voicemail number defined on page 2 of the hunt - *ttNNNNNNN)
