Hello, we are a mid sized hospital with one operator. They currently use a 302D console. As you may know , this thing is monsterous in size and even has an extension of extra buttons. Once upon a time, this was needed... But now the operators use fewer of the features of this device. I have a couple of questions. (1) Is it necessary for an attendant console? (2) Can we get away with having a really sleek looking IP phone in its place?
I'd be interested in hearing what others are doing. We would like to get away from these devices. Thanks!

yes there is no reason why you need to keep the console , replace with an ip phone if required , there is also one x attendant that is a PC based gui server /client solution that allows all call control to be done from desktop
