I run Sendmail on bsd. I hookup aliases with target addresses. In the logs, I noticed this messasge for a particular alias:
Apr 27 09:25:36 ns1 sm-mta[92189]: i3RGOBKx092175: to=<person@domain.com>, delay=00:01:25, xdelay=00:01:24, mailer=esmtp, pri=50111, relay=targetserver.domain.com. [206.210.27.51], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Operation timed out with targetserver.domain.com.
I only pipe the mail - no restrictions only trusted addresses are added. I am assumint that the log is telling me that the target server did not accept the message within a given amount of time. Am I correct?
