Hello name here is Vince, and I am having a lot of trouble with my Cisco 675.

I called my DSL provider and was told that the problem is due to the Red Worm virus. What is happening is that every once in a while, I can't connect to any web page or obtain my mail. The LAN link is solid and so is the WAN link. What I have to do is constantly unplug the power to the Cisco, and then replug it in. It then retrains, and I am back in business. Is there any way to set up a routine where if I can't ping a certain address outside the network here, that the cisco's power will reset, or the modem will retrain?

Thanks

Vince

I had the same problem with 675 ver 2.1.0 this modem can not be upgraded but Qwest did even know anything about this.
So when I was ask to upgrade to ver 2.4.1 it just lock the modem.
I have to constantly unplug the power to the Cisco, and then replug it.

Thank to J.Fisher I was able reflash the Cisco 675.

Great Site!
