Big,
What elements?
Obviously all those OS are not on the same machine... Flash 5 on all as opposed to an earlier version on the Windows95 machine?

old,

i am using flash 5 now in all my movies. if u view our site "console", on the lower right corner, you will see an input box immediately above the word "iNSTA-SEARCH". on computers running windows 98, Me, and 2000, the input box is visible and can be typed on. on windows 95 the said input box is nowhere to be found! is this a matter of plug-in present in that computer? computers running windows 95 are a bit old and could have an old version of the flash plug-in. does it download another version if for example, i have the plug-in for flash 4 then i view a site which uses flash 5, does my computer download the plug-in for flash 5?

hope this clears up some things which would help u understand my problem old.

thanks and Godspeed!

hoping to hear from u soon!

It was my understanding, that if you have the proper coding in your html, and the user doesn't have the Flash 5 player installed, he would be offered to download it. That this wouldn't work with Win95 is a suprise to me. Does this happen on all machines with Win95 OS? Or did you only get this response from one user?

As for Dave... Don't ask!
My guess is he should get back to you when he gets your message!

old,

this happened thrice already, and one thing i found similar about them is that they all used win95. their memory varies (32 and 64 mb), i tried to simulate this situation in my office but so far i cant get hold of win95 anymore. the only available in the stores here are win98 and higher.

another aspect which i suspect is the coding, i just checked it and found out that some of them still retain the coding for flash 4, which could be the culprit. anyways i just changed it and will have to transfer it to our server. i have to wait till our technical director comes coz he's the only one who can access our server. now its just wait and see what happens.

thanks for your help old.
can i ask u the q which i ask dav?

i would like to know how to make and online chat flash interface like the one which dav made months ago, do u know of a good tutorial for that?

thanks and Godspeed!
