Hi! I'm working with the technical support department and I've being asked why some PCs DO NOT check automatically a USB memory with the antivirus when inserting it into the USB PORT, I don't know how this can be automated, any help please?????

Greetings!!!

Genaro.

Surely it just a case of setting the AV app (which is what?) to do so - assuming it has that option (which most should).

As you don't give any specifics, can't be more specific.

Most AV in my opinion just check when a file is actually opened not when a USB, DVD, CD, or Floppy is inserted. Maybe if there was an Autorun.ini in the root of the drive that may cause some checking. It all comes down to what "Wolluf" mentioned and the available preferences of individual AV programs.
