operating system command from sqlplus for windows 98

At work, I am on a unix machine and I can use the splat key (!) from sqlplus to run a unix command, example,
"sql>!clear" clears the screen.
At home I am running windows 98, oracle 8i PE, and the splat key does not work. Does anyone know the syntax to run win98 commands from sqlplus? Thank you in advance. Ron
