Hello,

I try to make call forward from openstage service menu in openscape 4000 V6 system when tey to put destination station display give not possible,

otherwise call forward by access codes or ZIEL & ACTDA working fine.

also how i can add or delete any feature which appear in openstage T service menu when connect with OS4K system.

Thanks

If you are trying to forward a call externally you need to have a permission for that in the COS assigned to the phone. It shouldn't be a problem to forward to inside numbers, unless you have the phone assigned to a COS that does not have any of the CFB, CFNR, FWDBAS, FWDEXT, FWDECA attributes assigned. FWDNWK (network) allows calls to be forwarded to outside numbers, which I tightly control because we have had people forward their phones to long distance personal cell phone numbers from where they used to live and rack up LD charges...

To delete a feature it could be in the FEASU menu.
DIS-FEASU;

To remove the dialing code for a feature then
REG-WABE;
or
DIS-WABE

i expect you didn't got my problem,

the forward by codes internally or externally working fine.

but when i'm try to forward internal subscriber to another internal subscriber by using OpenStage T service menu when try to enter the number of destination the display of source appear not possible, all parameters of forward in COS are activated.

Thanks

DIS-COSSU:COS of the phone
It could be that the destination has to be working before it will accept the destination.
Not all Parameters of FWD are to be activated as some are negative.

Can the phone that you wish to forward dial the extension you wish to forward it to?? If not, there could be some restrictions set up that are not letting the call through, and that would in fact be an invalid destination.

Case in point, I have a call center that all of the customers are supposed to call for any service requests. As I am a master of breaking out of call centers, I can design them so they are very difficult to get around. I don't want the inside people or the outside people to know the number of the phone they reach when they dial the call center, so they do not write it down and go around the system, so I have a parameter set in SBCSU that blocks the number and display name from showing up on any phones, INSIDE OR OUT! Problem with this is when they return a customer call as needed the number shows up as RESTRICTED in their caller-ID, and the customers will not answer the phone (or have AT&T Privacy Manager that automatically blocks those calls). There is only one setting for this in SBCSU so it is not possible to block the inside callers, but not the outside.

So in this case I created a phone for them to use to return customer calls that has the caller-ID spoofed to the main number of the contact center so if they try to call back they go where I want them to go. Problem is now the inside users can see that extension, and they know there is a person there, so they will call around the call center. All my phones in my system are in ITR 0, so in this case I put the new phone in ITR 1 and set the dialing rules so that ITR 0 is not allowed to call ITR 1. If they try to dial the number from inside it comes up "Not Authorized" :eek:)

So the short version is if your company uses multiple ITR groups it may be possible one phone can't dial the other one normally, which will also keep it from being a forwarding target.

Also, if you have time, send us the outcome form DIS-FEASU;

Regarding ITR the source & destination can call each other fine.

and forward is working by using access code from WABE.

Thanks for your support,

I don't know what CFKL is, and my doc library is at work.

If I wanted to just throw out a random guess it might be "Call Forward Key Lockout", but that is a bit too convenient!

I can't think it will hurt if you remove that parameter long enough to try using the forward function from the menu and see if it makes a difference - then put it back if it doesn't.

That's a total shot in the dark though.

Also from here I don't know what XFBACALL is in the activated features, and XFBADIAL is in the deactivated features. If you go into comvin/expert mode and say CHA-ACTDA I think it will ask 2 questions (but it has been a while) - something like Axxx and Dxxx, which if I remember right is asking what features you want to activate or deactivate. If you put a double question mark after one of those it might give you a list of attributes and tell you what they are for... don't have remote access right now. You can then CTRL-X to cancel the AMO without doing anything.

Another question is if you are trying to do this so the phone can be forwarded to a variety of places, or if it will mostly be forwarded to one place, like voicemail if the person isn't at the phone?? If this is an OS40/60T there should be a forward key on the phone that looks like an arrow being deflected by a dot. If the person is usually forwarding to the same place you can set that key in ZIEL by setting a CFU/GEN forward type for all calls and setting it to the type STATION. That allows that key to function as an on/off key for forwarding to that one destination.

I also make the assumption that when you try to forward through the menu that you are setting the type to CFWALLBOTH - to have it forward everything? If not, each one of those forwarding variants has its own specific dial code pair in WABE (i.e. ACFWVALBT / DCFWVALBT) - there are a bunch of those options.

Sorry - just tossing things out here in case we stumble on something by accident - it's a lot easier when I'm sitting in the chair and I can think with my keyboard or I see something that looks out of place.

Just for giggles, I just saw this when doing something else.... DIS-ZAND:ALLDATA; Look to see if NOCFW is set to yes. Mine is set to NO, and I have no clue what that is for, but if for some strange reason yours is set to YES try changing it to NO....
