Hi guys,

I currently experiencing a problem with my openstage phones which is kinda weird actually. .

I have my openstage 15 HFA that is working on my desk and i have one another on the next desk. When the other user plugged the lan cable to his laptop. My phone got suddenly down. Stating "telephony is down D02". But when he try to unplugged it and I tried to reboot my phone. My phone will be reverted back to normal.

Any idea what is wrong with this phones?

maybe because they do have both the same IP address "IP conflicts", try to change the IP @ of one of them .

Check his laptop for IP settings, if that laptop is using a fixed IP then there is a conflict. All have to be DHCP or use fixed IP outside of the DHCP scope.

Here' the weird part, my client has an dhcp server. Phones and laptops have different segment when acquired an ip. Scenario above also happen to others randomly.

As per client they' got sufficient ip's for evry phones and laptops. Thats why they are also confused if what is really happening

Thoughts:

Visually check the LAN settings on the laptop. Make sure everything is set to automatic. Don't assume no one messed with it.

https:// to the IP address of your phone and login to admin with 123456 unless you changed it. Look at the LAN settings and make sure there is nothing strange. Look at your default gateway and make sure it's appropriate, etc. Also look at the PC port setting on both phones - it should be enabled.

If you continue to have problems again go to the PC Port settings on both phones and take them off auto - manually set them to 100Mbps Full Deplex. Remember to hit Save. Sometimes there are issues with auto negotiation process.

Hi guys,

I have already resolved the issue. But in some lucky weird way :)

firmware upgrade solved the issue. I've noticed that the phones are way too old versions. some are v1 and v2. So ive tried to upgrade them into v3 and got lucky everything is fine right now.

But I am still monitoring the site right now to ensure everything will go smoothly.
