Hi everybody.

I have a phone Siemens Openstage 40 SIP which doesn't boot.

I mean that is why it was donwloading and installing new firmware or something seemed and then I unplugged the electricity cable.

Now, the screen is blank, showing nothing.

I tried to perform a factory reset pressing buttons 2, 8 and 9 like the manual said but the phone doesn't do nothing.

Can anybody help me?.

Thanks in advance.

If the power was lost in the middle of a firmware upgrade the phone is probably bricked and may require extraordinary measures to resurrect it, or need to be sent in for repair. I don't know of any way to communicate with it if it is brain dead.

You need a netboot solution (which I dont have at the moment but am looking for it)
If you hold down '3' when booting then it will look for the netboot

I just looked on the place where I can download most of the software files, but they don't have anything along those lines there.

I have a few bricked as well.
Will ask a colleague on Monday as he has done it before

Thank you sbcsu

I wait for your colleague idea.

Here is what I got indirectly from a Siemens Tech.....

The phone ‘may’ be recoverable… it would depend on which state the phone was powered off during upgrade. If the phone can boot far enough to request either net boot or even DHCP for an IP address, theoretically it should be recoverable. This kind of covers what I first mentioned and also what you found. If one is savvy enough, you could connect the ‘bricked’ phone to its own network and use a tool such as Wireshark to sniff the network and see if the phone is requesting or sending anything.
