Hello!
I need to upgrade an Openstage 40 HFA to SIP
Can you help me? I need a documentation and software/firmware to do the operation...

Thank you!

Thank you for the link!
But where i can find the manual for do the operation?
There is a lot of folders and i don't know where is the correct pdf...
And for 3 times after the login the site go down after few minutes with the message "An internal server error occurred. Please try again later." [sad]

Thank you! [smile]

Download ONE FILE AT A TIME otherwise the tonido will create unnecessary zip files and will delay what you are trying to do.

As you are looking to change the phone to OpenStage 40 SIP then go to the OpenStage/40 SIP folder.

Decide which software you need - you will need to read the PDF documents to see

I would just go for the latest.
The procedure has been talked about here on this site but should also be included in the PDF documents.
You need to setup an FTP server on your PC/Laptop (3C Daemon FTP server is located on tonido in tools folder)
The phone and the Laptop need to be on the same network
Log on to the phone via address of phone
Tell it where the dot img file is located and get the phone to download the file from your laptop

Ok i have do all, but when i try to upload the file "OS_40_SIP_V2_R2_48_0.img" (i have also try all the file 40 sip) the phone display turn on the light, but on the web page appear "file not supported" [sad]

Ensure the file name is correct - easiest way is to right mouse click the file and click rename - but do not rename just copy the file name.

Paste the file name into the phone and add dot img (.img) at the end

I think I 'm doing something wrong but I do not understand what ... Exits files not supported even though I put a random name ... may be some error in the FTP server configuration? I'm going crazy...[evil]

What is the current HFA version on the phone that you want to change to SIP

HFA V3 R0.23.0
I have tryed to upgrade just for try the HFA V3 R0.23.1 and the problem is the same... I have tryed also to reset the phone to the default setting, I think that i miss some stupid thing in the configuration of ftp server...

Busy today, however have a look at other posts here on the Hicom forum and you will find out similar issues.
I will, probably over the weekend, make up some sort of a procedure for flashing the phones but hopefully you will have it sorted by then.

I tried in so many ways , I've looked everywhere but I could not do the upgrade .... ok I wait for your help ... thanks

Assuming that you are attempting to manually update the software on the OpenStage phone, here is a common FAIL scenario:
When you setup your FTP server, you are required to configure the FTP server's "path". For example, the FTP server's path may be: c:\FTP_path
When you configure the "File Transfer" settings in the OpenStage phone's Web-Based Management, one of the required fields is "FTP Path".
This field represents the same information that you have already entered into the FTP server.
Typically the first reaction is to enter: c:\FTP_path
But this double-entry confuses the device attempting to locate the specific filename at this FTP Path.
To eliminate this confusion, try using a "/" or "." in the OpenStage phone's Web-Based Management "FTP Path" field.
This special character advises the phone that the FTP Path is specified inside the FTP Server.

Good Luck!

The path is ok... 3CDaemon show me this messagge "221 service closing control connection

Turn off the windows firewall
Turn on the FTP tracing in the 3C Daemon
If/When it fails look at that file

I tried with the firewall disabled , in different ways , with different paths , renaming the .img files but nothing ...
On the log appear this

550 C:\ : No such file or directory.

No such file or directory means you are putting in the wrong path.

On your laptop create a folder in the Root C:\ drive and call it FTP
Put the software in to that folder
In the 'configure FTP server' in 3C daemon
add a profile name (do not just use anonymous) for example 'hipath'
set/change user password to 'hipath'
Make the user directory C:\FTPMake sure this user can - tick all the boxes
Save the profile

In the phone put in \ as the path
and put in the name of the file with the .img at the end

Let me know how you get on

YEAH! the problem was the path on the phone's configuration page ... thank you! [thanks]
