Hi, why am I having so many problems finding OpenSSH 5.x for AIX 5.3 as a bff? It's available for 5.2, why not 5.3?

Thanks

Check out the packages in the download section at

Some very useful (and up to date) AIX packages are available on the site.

why do you say that ADMCHG is broken?? I am pretty sure ADMCHG was fixed a few years ago....

Sorry for the delay. The sourceforge site only seemed to have OpenSSH for AIX 5.2 but I realised you have to click browse folders to get to a 5.3 version.

It's still broken though, get this in the log:

Oct 9 13:56:25 server auth|security:crit sshd[184458]: fatal: Failed to change password for , passwd returned 28928

and running the server in debug mode I get:

debug1: Received SIGCHLD.
debug1: session_by_pid: pid 364766
debug1: session_exit_message: session 0 channel 0 pid 364766
debug1: session_exit_message: release channel 0
debug1: session_by_tty: session 0 tty /dev/pts/0
debug1: session_pty_cleanup: session 0 release /dev/pts/0
debug1: session_by_channel: session 0 channel 0
debug1: session_close_by_channel: channel 0 child 0
debug1: session_close: session 0 pid 0
debug1: channel 0: free: server-session, nchannels 1

when the new password is entered the first time. Any ideas?

Thanks
