Me again,

We have tried to get option 43 to work for the phones following exactly the settings from the OSB admin documentation. We know the phone is seeing the option because they are grabbing the right IP segment and setting the vlan correctly; it is the address for the DLS server that is not populating on the openstage phones. DHCP is being pushed from a Sophos UTM appliance.

Any ideas or experience with this.

Have you looked on the Wiki here and here?
We were able to get it to work using a Microsoft DHCP server. It took a little bit of cussing and conversion from ASCII to Hex.
Tag 1 should be the hex equivalent of "Siemens" which is 5369656d656e73
Tag 2 should be the hex equivalent of your VLAN
Tag 3 should be the hex equivalent of "sdlp://Your DLS IP:18443"

This came in handy:

LoPath
Maintain HiPath 4000 V5 & V6, OpenScape Xpert V4, OpenScape Xpressions, OpenScape Contact Center V8, OpenScape Voice V9

I have a feeling that if I was on a MS DHCP it would work, but I am stuck with the Sophos UTM. We ended up manually entering the DLS server after the phones grabbed the new IP and vlan from the option 43.
