Hi Gents,

I have 4K that on outbound calls displays the individual DID.
I'm trying to set this up so only generic DID is displayed.

The KNDEF is setup with ISDN country code, ISDN area code and ISDN local code.

Even if I try to override the individual number in SDAT using the generic number in PUBNUM, the generic number is not sent out.

Example:
ADD-LDAT:LROUTE=1,LSVC=ALL,LVAL=1,TGRP=2,ODR=2,LAUTH=64,CARRIER=1,ZONE=EMPTY,LATTR=PUBNUM,DNNO=666,VCCYC=4;

It has always been my experience that if there is not a valid number in the subscriber number field only the generic number will be sent out - you might try changing the TON (Basic3 screen) from National to Unknown....

I've always had to configure SDAT NPI/TON to NATIONAL/ISDN to match the SDAT PUBNUM. So if you have PUBNUM configured in SDAT, your LDAT also shows PUBNUM, check that NPI/TON in SDAT also. Having Unknown/Unknown in there was guaranteed to make it not work. You should use RDS in the Assistant to check what is being sent to line, you might be having an impact on it but not the desired one.

As Don says, if you send them a number which doesn't make sense, something which is complete rubbish or outside the DDI range, they usually send the bearer number instead. I've only found a couple of providers that allow you to send them a "wrong" number and they still allow it, you'd need a special agreement for that.

If you are still seeing the DDI number, it sounds to me like you haven't managed to have any impact on it at all. Check with RDS.

If you set "LPRN" in the COT, you'll set the "presentation restricted" flag in the outgoing setup, so the number is sent out but the provider should not forward it. I found one provider once that ignored it, it was a fault in their implementation not 4K. Generally LPRN is a quick way to stop the caller ID going out (even the bearer number).

Or you could set SSTNO in SBCSU to ONLYEXT and use KNMAT to send the bearer number.

Always more than one way to do it on the 4K.
